Effective, Single-Dose Dengue Vaccine Developed

US Scientists have made a new injection for a dengue spread by mosquitoes from a scientific experiments give positive results. It is very effective to stopping the poisonous infection in a single dose.

Dengue causes a high fever, rash and joint pain and might be also cause very serious disease due to hemorrhage and shock, and resulted as death. It affected about one lakh people in India previous year.

According to Scientists to the news agency Press Trust of India, examinations of vaccines for dengue has been difficult due to the disease can be produced by any of four dengue virus serotypes and the vaccine must be tetravalent – providing equal protection against all four serotypes

Researchers from University of Vermont or UVM, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases or NIAID and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the US gave volunteers develops a injection and experiments  for dengue that affects infection with negligible symptoms.

Consequences of the study in the US presented that all vaccinated helpers were protected from the “challenge” virus and no one of the volunteers getting placebo vaccines were protected. The vaccine was well-tolerated in all assistants.

As per scientists, there were about 40 per cent of the world’s population  is at threat of contracting dengue, a viral infection spread by mosquitoes in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.

As reported from India, about 1 lakh patients of dengue previous year putting a heavy pressure on the health care system.  Around Rs 463 crore was consumed on the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme under the Health Ministry however hundreds were died.

Dengue is highly spread between July and peaks in October. Lack of vaccines to prevent the treat the deadly disease. The Centre and state government spend large amounts of money for tackling the disease, its spread and treatment.
