  • Decrease the risk of Type 2 Diabetes – The person who drinks 6 or more cups daily it had a 22% lower risk of diabetes. As per a study, taking a cup of coffee per day has lowered the risk of type II diabetes by 9%. Decaf coffee reduced risk by 6% per cup.
  • Decreased Suicide Risk and Depression – Coffee decreased the risk of suicide and those who drink 4 or more cups of coffee were reduced 20% likely to suffer from depression.
  • Reduced risk of Heart Disease – The person who consumed 3 to 5 cups of coffee daily, decreases the risk of heart disease.
  • Reduces Risk of Colorectal Cancer – The daily consumption of coffee can decrease the developing colorectal cancer by 26%. This protective benefit increases with more consumption of coffee
  • Lower Risk of Liver Cancer – As per research, those who consume 1-3 cups of coffee daily have 29% less risk of developing liver cancer.
  • Prevents Cavities – Strong black coffee kills the bacteria on teeth which lead to reduce tooth decay. Adding milk or sugar to coffee negates this benefit.
  • Reduced Risk of Alzheimer’s– Coffee also reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Stronger DNA – Those who consume coffee daily, they have DNA with stronger integrity and reduces the instance of spontaneous DNA strand breakage.

Computer network – A communication system provides the transfer or sharing of data and information between computers installed at different locations through connectivity is called computer network.

In a computer network, a large number of computers are interconnected with each other, through one or more transmission paths. The type and structure of a computer network depends upon different parameter, according to the needs of users. Networking of a computer allows direct access to any other computer, anywhere and anytime, and one can transmit the information in any part of the world.

Types of computer network – The network may be of a small group of computers, or a large number of computers connected with communication link at different locations. Depending upon the operational area of the network, the networking may be classified as discussed below

  1. Local Area Network (LAN) – A local area network is a small group of networks that interconnected together and located inside a single building, within the building of same organization or institution or within a limited area. All the terminals are connected with a main computer which is widely known as server. The server stores all sorts of data, programs, files and different software which provide them to the workstations. LAN system can have more than one server and supports a range of about 10km.
  2. Wide Area Network (WAN) – Wide Area Network (WAN) is used to connect a wider geographical area including different cities or even different countries. These communication links are established through telephone lines or microwave links via satellite. This type of network has made it possible to improve the working of business circles and other organizations. Wide Area Network has the capability of handling large database but involves higher costs.
  3. Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) – A metropolitan area network is used to connect different sites in the city and its nearby areas. Sites in these cities may be business houses, important offices, stock exchanges, head offices of big companies and many more. Depending upon the location of metropolitan cities, the network may be of LAN type or WAN type. Such networks are of great help to business houses in ascertaining their products sales at any moment. The information exchange regarding establishments of different offices, latest trend in share business can be readily and instantaneously known.

What is radiation? Is it dangerous for humans

Radiation – It consists of an invisible stream of alpha particles, beta particles, and gamma rays, possessing a great deal of energy. The radiations are produced during natural radioactivity as well as during the nuclear processes. It is because of these nuclear radiations that the use of nuclear energy can become a health hazard.

Effect of radiation on human body – All the radioactive substances are dangerous for human health because of the ionizing nuclear radiations emitted from them. The nuclear radiations have high energy due to which they convert the molecules of living cells into charged particles called ions. These ions are chemically very reactive and disrupt cell membranes, reduce effectiveness of enzymes or even damage genes and chromosomes, thereby causing serious illness including leukemia and cancer.

The gamma radiation is the most dangerous radiation because of its high penetrating power and high energy. Gamma rays pass freely through the flesh and get absorbed in the bone structure. When gamma rays are absorbed, they lose energy and this energy destroys tissue cells, and blood corpuscles, causing irreversible damage to the human body. The extremely damaging nuclear radiations can enter into our environment from any one (or more) of the three stages involved in the production of nuclear energy by the fission process. These are

  1. Processing of nuclear fuels
  2. Leakage from reactor due to faulty construction or accidents
  3. Disposal of nuclear wastes

 

What actually happens in the Bermuda Triangle?

Bermuda triangle (sometimes also referred to as Devil’s Triangle) is considered as the region in Western part of the North Atlantic Ocean in between Bermuda, Miami, San Juan, and Puerto Rico. It is said that a number of aircrafts and ships, roughly 75 planes and hundreds of ships disappeared under mysterious circumstances in this area. However, most reputable sources dismiss the idea that there is any mystery.

Triangle Area:

Some writers have given different boundaries and vertices to the triangle with total area varying from 1,300,000 to 3,900,000 Km square.

Happenings:

It is said that an average 4 aircraft and 20 yachts go missing every year. In the Bermuda Triangle area, people have experienced electronic fog. The first person to report about Bermuda Triangle was Christopher Columbus who wrote that the ship compass stopped working in this area. It is also said that compass does not point magnetic north in this area. Instead it points towards true north which creates confusion for planes and ships that lost their courses.

It is said that whenever any plane or ship disappears in the triangle, its debris also disappeared. The reason is described that Gulf Stream runs near the triangle which takes away debris. There are evidences that show about the mysterious disappearance of aircrafts and ships in Bermuda triangle.

What is Black Box in Aeroplane

A flight recorder is generally known as black box. It is an electronic recording device which is placed in an airplane and is used for the investigation of aviation accidents and other incidents. Presently it is available in orange in color.

Dr. David Warren was the first Australian scientist who invented the black box. The Australian scientist was working at the Aeronautical Research Laboratory in Melbourne in the mid-1950s and he was involved for the examination of the mysterious accidents in the world’s first jet-powered commercial aircraft. It is useful for investigators in which the examinations of the recording for happening in the final moments before the airplane accident then he got to work on a basic flight data recorder.

Australia became the first country in the world to make the Black Box compulsory for all commercial aircraft.

Flight Data Recorder (FDR):

It is a device that saves the recent history of the flight by the recording of dozens of limitations collected several times per second.

Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR):

It is a device which preserves the current history of the sounds in the cockpit including the conversations between the pilots. The two recorders give accurate evidence, narrating the aircraft’s flight history for help in any later investigation.

The FDR and CVR may be combined in a single unit. The two recorders are essential for the international guideline which is supervised by the International Civil Aviation Organization, for the conditions likely to be encountered in a severe airplane accident. Due to this reason, they are typically specified to withstand a consequence of 3400 g and temperatures of over 1,000 °C (1,830 °F) as required by EUROCAE ED-112 and have been essential in commercial aircraft in the US since 1967.

An electromagnetic wave can pass through the air, a solid material or vacuum. This wave does not need a medium to propagate or travel from one place to another. Mechanical waves (like sound waves or water waves) need a medium for travel. Electromagnetic waves are ‘transverse’ waves. Transverse waves are measured by their amplitude or height and wavelength or the distance between the highest/lowest points of two consecutive waves.

The highest point of a wave is known as ‘crest’, whereas the lowest point is known as ‘trough’. Electromagnetic waves can be divided into a range of frequencies. This is known as the electromagnetic spectrum. Examples of EM waves are radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves, X-rays, gamma rays, and much more.

Electromagnetics are used in our everyday life. There are several important technologies in our daily life are

Due to the weak power, an amplifier is used to convert weak power to strong and demodulator pick up data from high-frequency electromagnetic energy. This is in the case of radio, TV, satellite TV, GPS, cell phones and wireless LAN. Cable TV does not need antennas for transmitting electromagnetic wave via cables.
