Vivo launches a new Y55s smartphone at Rs 12,490

Chinese company, Vivo has launched its latest Y55s smartphone. It will be available in Crown Gold and Space Grey colors for option at a price of Rs 12,490. It is an upgraded version of the Vivo Y55L smartphone which is introduced earlier.

The Y55s smartphone offers a 5.2-inch HD with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels IPS display which has a 2.5D curved edge screen. It has a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with 3GB of RAM and operates on Funtouch Operating System 3.0 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device offers 16GB storage that can be expandable up to 256GB by using microSD card and is back up by a 2730mAh battery.

The smartphone comes with a camera at rear of 13-megapixel and a front camera of 5-megapixel. The main feature of the smartphone is its Smart Screen-Split feature that allows consumers to multi-task and use two apps at the same time.

ISRO creates a record of launching 104 Satellites on February 15, 2017

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C37 rocket with a great achievement of successfully launching 104 satellites from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh in a single mission on February 15, 2017.  The ISRO creates a new world record by launching 104 satellites and also introduced the cheapest mission to Mars which is called as Mangalyaan. The PSLV-C37 launched the 714kg CartoSat-2D satellite for earth observation with 103 satellites of weighing around 664kg. The names of all the 104 satellites were aboard ISRO’s PSLV-C37 rocket.

CartoSat-2D – ISRO, India (1)

It is the fifth series of CartoSat-2 remote-sensing satellites and which is used to capture and send the panchromatic and multispectral pictures of India from space. These pictures are used to observe the coastal land use, urban and rural planning, road networks and water distribution. It also identifies natural and man-made sources. It is the heaviest satellite and carried weighs 1,377 kg.

INS-1A – ISRO, India (1)

It is an 8.4-kilogram research satellite which will working for six months and carries two payloads including Surface BRDF Radiometer (SBR) and Single Event Upset Monitor (SEUM). The Surface BRDF Radiometer (SBR) is used to measure the Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) of targets on the surface of Earth and capable to take readings of the sunlight reflected from different sources. The Single Event Upset Monitor (SEUM) is used to track Single Event Upsets because of high energy radiation in space environment.

Flock-3p – Plant Labs, United States of America (88)

The Planet Labs’ 88 Flock-3p nano-satellites will carry 100 Dove satellites in space and capable to capture pictures of the whole Earth surface per day and also take photos in line-scanner formation at mid-morning pass times to reduce shadows in the photos.

Lemur-2 – Spire Global, United States of America (8)

The eight Lemur-2 nano-satellites which is operated by Spire Global of the USA carries a meteorological payload is used to determine the atmospheric pressure, humidity, and temperature that using signals from GPS satellites in the atmosphere of the Earth. These satellites is also used to carry goods which permits them to observe and send data from marine vessels

Al-Farabi-1 – Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan (1)

The students of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan made Al-Farabi-1 nano satellite. The weight of the satellite is 1.7kg and used for calculating uplink/downlink and ADCS Mission algorithms and analysis of self-made components.

BGUSat – Ben Gurion University, Israel (1)

Israel has developed the BGUSat in Ben Gurion University is used to carry two imaging payloads including an experimental GPS receiver and an optical communication experiment. The weight of the satellite is 5kg and its dimensions are 10x10x30 centimetres. The cameras in the satellites are used to track climate occurrences and its guidance system allows the operators to select the areas for shoot and examination by a dedicated station at BGU.

Nayif-1 – Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST), UAE (1)

The students of the UAE from the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) developed the Nayif-1 nano-satellite and can be used for educational purposes.

DIDO-2 – SpacePharma, Israel and Switzerland (1)

It is a nano-satellite which is used to conduct biochemical and physical tests in micro-gravity. The satellite will help to the pharmaceutical companies and capable to send back data to Earth- based researchers through the on-board microscope.

PEASS – PEASS Consortium, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Israel (1)

PiezoElectric Assisted Smart Satellite Structure or PEASS is a nano-satellite which is used to estimate and qualify ‘smart structures’ and combine composite panels, piezoelectric materials, and next-generation sensors.

ISRO has launched the PSLV-C37 rocket carries satellites from several countries which is as part of Antrix Corporation Limited’s agreements with the operators of these satellites. Antrix is a commercial division of ISRO which provides entities the selection to get their satellites in space on-board the ISRO rockets.

Acer launches Spin 3 Windows 10 laptop in India at Rs 42,999

Taiwanese company, Acer has introduced a latest Spin 3 Windows convertible laptop with a 360-degree hinge in Spin series in Indian market. It is available at a price of Rs 42,999.

The Spin 3 laptop offers a 15.6-inch HD with a resolution of 768×1366 pixels touchscreen IPS display and support Acer Color. It has 4GB DDR4 RAM with a feature of Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

The company claimed that the laptop offers 10 hours battery back-up and operates on Windows 10 with the sixth-generation Intel Core i3 processor clocked at 2.30 GHz. The device has a backlit keyboard comes with a 1.6mm keystroke for easy typing.

The device support 2×2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac technology for two data streams in each direction for better wireless performance. It allows consumers to use the laptop in four different modes such as laptop, tablet, display or tent. The laptop also offers dual USB 3.1 Type-C ports for fast data transfers, link to an external display and also used for charge the notebook.

The laptop offers a Skype for business certification with a glass trackpad and has Dolby Audio for better audio. It also comes with an HD webcam and HDR imaging.

Meizu launches the M5s smartphone in China

Chinese company, Meizu has introduced the M5s smartphone which will be available on February 20. The device will be available in two models – 16GB storage model at CNY 799 (approximately Rs 7,800) and 32GB storage model at CNY 999 (approximately Rs 9,700).

The M5s smartphone offers a 5.2-inch HD with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels IPS display which has a pixel density of 282ppi and supports dual-SIM. It has a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 and a 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and is back-up by a 3000mAh battery which provide an 18W fast charger. The device comes with a camera at rear of 13-megapixel and a front camera of 5-megapixel. The rear camera has an f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and LED flash whereas the front camera has an f/2.0 aperture and ArcSoft beautification software.

The smartphone comes with an option of storages of 16GB and 32GB storage which can be expandable up to 128GB by using microSD card and operates on Flyme 6.0 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Smog threatens Delhi and several cities of Uttar Pradesh

The capital of India, Delhi is in the top list for most polluted city in the world. In earlier months the city is covered by dense smog in which several accidents have occurred and traffic has been disrupted. After Diwali, the air pollution rapidly increases causing dense smog in the city.  Smog is highly injurious to health as it increases lung-related diseases mainly asthma and lung cancer. In 2016 the smog is very thick as compared to the previous years.  Many cities in Uttar Pradesh are also covered by the dense smog including Lucknow.

Smog is a mixture of smoke and fog, making it a different type of air pollutant. The smog contains nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, smoke, carbon monoxide, CFCs and radioactive sources. It is caused by coal emissions, vehicular emissions, industrial emissions, forest and agricultural fires. The defect of smog is generally highly toxic to people and can cause severe sickness, shortened life or death.

Overpopulation and the continuous increase in diesel and petrol vehicles cause serious air pollution in the city as seen in the picture. The report claims that approximately 10,500 citizens die every year due to air pollution. It is very serious problem for our future. The smog also causes by the burning of agricultural waste from Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. If these states will ban on burning of agricultural waste then this helps in to reduce air pollution in Delhi.

Several steps are being taken by the Delhi government to control air pollution. There were thousands of trees planted in the city in 1990s and majority of the buses controlled by the Delhi Transport Corporation were running on compressed natural gas (CNG) in 1996. The Supreme Court of India ordered on an appeal by the Centre for Science and Environment that the buses and taxies run on CNG compulsory and prohibited the use of leaded petrol in 1998. The Delhi Metro also supports to decrease air pollution in the city.

In this program, the odd and even numbers of four-wheeler vehicles including cars are allowed to run only on alternate odd and even days to reduce the traffic in the city. This program wasn’t implemented in the city properly and there wasn’t sufficient support and cooperation from the people of Delhi. The opposition parties also opposed the odd-even traffic system. In the odd and even traffic system, the system was restricted only on Sunday. The first phase of odd-even traffic scheme was launched between January 1, 2016 and January 15, 2016. In the first phase, the citizen of Delhi suffered many problems during launch of the traffic scheme. Again the Delhi government launch the traffic system from April 15, 2016 to April 30, 2016. But this system couldn’t continue for a very long time despite the solution it offered to reduce pollution in some way.

Vernee may unveil the Apollo 2 Smartphone at MWC 2017

Chinese company, Vernee has introduced the Apollo 2 smartphone at the event of Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017) in Barcelona which is located in Spain. The event will start from February 27 to March 2, 2017. The company claim that the Apollo 2 smartphone with a remarkable feature of 8GB of RAM.

Huawei may launch the HonorV9 smartphone in China on February 21

Chinese company, Huawei is likely to be introducing the Honor V9 smartphone in Chinese market on February 21. The company did not give information about the availability of the smartphone

Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is situated in Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Akbar, Mughal Emperor was founded the city in 1569 and declared as the capital city of the Mughal Territory between 1571 and 1585. The structure of the Fatehpur Sikri was based on Mughal architecture.

There are many forts in Fatehpur Sikri which is made up of red sandstone. The red sandstone is also called as “Sikri sandstone.” The dimension of the monument is around 3kilometres (1.9miles) and 1km (o.62 miles) which is surrounded by a 6km (3.7miles) wall in three sides and last side is surrounded by a lake.  It has several entrances which is about 5 miles (8.0km) long fort wall such as Delhi Gate, the Lal Gate, the Agra Gate, Birbal’s Gate, Chandanpal Gate, the Gwalior Gate, the Tehra gate, the Chor Gate and the Ajmere Gate.

Buland Darwaza

It was constructed by Akbar which is based on Mughal architecture in 1601 A.D for honour his win in Gujrat and is about 43km away from Agra. Buland Darwaza is the main entrance in the Fatehpur Sikri and it is the uppermost gateway in the world. The size of the Buland Darwaza which is located at Fatehpur Sikri is about 55 metres (180ft) high.

The structure of the Buland Darwaza is made up of red and buff sandstone which is adorned by white and black marble. The monument is a 15-storied high gateway which is the southern entrance of the Fatehpur Sikri. The monument has three kiosks located in uppermost that are bounded by thirteen smaller domed kiosks. The gateway is surrounded by the small turrets. The plain red sandstone is bordered with a white marble and a flower like decorative design inlaid in white marble which is located at the top of the arch. The height of the gate is 176ft from the ground.

Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid is placed at the opposite side of the Agra fort. It is a 17th Century mosque and built by Shah Jahan in 1648 which is based on Iranian architecture, devoting to his loving daughter, Jahanara Begum. The masjid is also called as the Friday Mosque. Mostly tourist visited the mosque in Agra and it is one of the largest mosques in India.

The masjid has a central cave which has a single dome, two colonnaded halls, and two square chambers crowned with domes. Its marks the stage of change in Islamic architecture was mixed with Persian design.

Tomb of Salim Chishti

The Tomb of Salim Chishti was built between the 1580 and 1581 with the funeral place of the Sufi Saint, Salim Chishti (1478 – 1572), a successor of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer.

The Tomb was built by Akbar for the Sufi Saint due to his prediction the birth of son of Akbar. The name of the son of Akbar is Prince Salim who is the successor of Mughal Empire after Akbar. The construction of the tomb is based on the Mughal architecture.

 

Diwan-i-Aam

It is also called as Hall of Public Audience is that place where the King meets the general people. This monument is situated in several cities.

Diwan-i-Khaas

It is also called as Hall of Private Audience was used by the Mughal rulers to entertain their foreign dignitaries, ambassador and kings. This hall was also used for debate the problem in privacy with his representatives of different religions leaders. The hall was built by Mughal Ruler Shah Jahan in 1635.

Ibadat Khana

It is also called as House of Worship which was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1575 CE in Fatehpur Sikri.  This monument is used as a meet with leaders of different religious for discuss the teachings of the individual religious leaders. Din-e-Ilahi were laid by Akbar.

Mariam-uz-Zamani’s Palace

It is also known as “Jodha Bai”. She was a wife of the Mughal Emperor Akbar and her real name is Heer Kunwari, Hira Kunwari or Harkha Bai. Akbar had given a title for Jodha Bai as a Marium-uz-Zamani Begum (Persian Title). She was the mother of Jahangir.

Naubat Khana

It is also known as Naqqar Khana which means a drum house in which singer used drums for publicize the entrance of the Emperor and located near the Hathi Pol Gate or the Elephant Gate.

Panch Mahal

It is a five-story palace in Fatehpur Sikri in Agra and also known as “Badgir” which means wind catcher tower, was built by sikarwar rajputs. This monument is near to the Zenana quarters (Harem) which was used for entertainment and relaxation.

Hiran Minar

It is also known as Elephant Tower. This monument is a circular tower which is covered with stone projections in the form of elephant tusks. It was built as a memory for Ruler Akbar’s favourite elephant.

How to visit Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is around 39 kilometres (24 mi) from Agra.  Agra Airport (also known as Kheria Airport) is the nearest airport, 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Fatehpur Sikri.  Fatehpur Sikri railway station is the nearest railway station is around 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) from Agra. It is linked with Agra and nearby centres travel by road. The regular bus and private taxi services facilities for tourists.

Anytime tourisis visits Fatehpur Sikri however November to February is the best season for visit the Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.
